Who Can Join Additional Music?

Anyone involved in the creation or licensing of music for visual storytelling may be a member of Additional Music. Content Creators join by registering their first project. Creative Music Heads & Members join by receiving a referral or invitation code to the network by specific role.

Project Creators are those needing a soundtrack for their projects. Use Additional Music to hire Creative Music Heads or get assistance from a Soundtrack Manager (SM).

Creative Music Head

Composer | Music Supervisor

Creative Music Heads are Composers or Music Supervisors who create soundtracks for film, TV/streaming series, and video games. They are available for hire by Content Creators, can develop their own projects, mentor or hire Members, and have access to production resources.

Members are music professionals and services, including New Composers, who collaborate with Creative Music Heads and Project Creators to deliver soundtracks. New Composers have direct access to Indie Filmmakers and can be hired or receive mentorship from Creative Music Heads.

How It Works

1. Register for Your Free Account

Joining Additional Music is simple, fast, and completely free. Whether you’re a Content Creator seeking top-tier music, a Creative Music Head looking for your next big project, or Member seeking gigs or membership with established music providers, you're in the right place. Request an Invitation to Join or enter your referral code to Accept An Invitation. Submit your info, link to your reel, credits, bio, etc. and we'll be in touch.

2. Create New Projects, Connecting Your Music Team

If you're a filmmaker, director, or producer, you are a Project Creator. Project Creator membership is free and posting your project is free. Find the perfect music creators for your film, series, or game. Work with one of our Music Project Managers to help choose your music team. Creative Music Heads submit proposals to apply to your Project.

3. Submit to Work On Projects With Credits Called NOTES

Members, Composers, & Creative Music Heads may submit work on Projects using submission credits called Notes. Your first set of Notes is on us with additional Notes available for purchase as you explore connections and opportunities.

4. Network, Collaborate, and Work On New Projects

We are a tight network of music creators. Participate in virtual and in-person events to build your community. Make new connections and connect with Project Creators through the platform. Once hired by a Project Creator or Creative Music Head Member for a project, you'll be paid through our secure platform ensuring payments are smooth and reliable. A service fee only applies to what you earn so there’s no upfront cost.

Membership is free. All members are vetted by applying for membership. Project Creators submit a project to be accepted onto the platform. Additional Music charges a nominal 5-10% fee per hire.
